Backup power boxes allows the PV system to control the inverter in a grid-tied or off-grid state. In a situation where the grid fails, the inverter switches to the off-grid state. PV systems with backup power boxes supply power to off-grid loads in backup mode. When the grid recovers, the inverter switches back to the grid-tied state.
